What
to say about Sam? His birthday is the same as Johnny Appleseed
(and there is ample evidence that he is Mr. Chapman incarnate).
He sings songs about bugs while playing a ukulele that, legend has it, was given to him by Brother Adam himself! His website, Anarchy Apiaries, is chock full of good stuff. He worked Dee's "killer" bees with gaping holes in the toes of his shoes muttering, "It's always funny when people are getting stung." He has worked for several large migratory/commercial operations, and has sent his own bees to the Almonds for the big bux! He paints his top bar baby nucs pink and blue (you know, those folding TBH's that just everyone has in their bag?). We suspect he is running a study on the temperament of queens raised in pink vs. blue hives. He is a migratory/commercial top bar beekeeper....and a fantastic speaker (and singer). |
